Character Description:  Delia stands at 5’9. She has jet black hair that just reaches her shoulders, usually worn up. Her eyes are a sea green. Her skin tone is a deep bronze. She has high cheek bones, almond shaped eyes, and slightly pointed ears. Her body is lithe and strong, well toned from working out. She looks to about 25ish. She is either dressed in dark business suits, sometimes pants, sometimes skirts. Or she is in a long, slitted black shirt and a dark blouse on top. She is almost always wearing her long black leather jacket.

Mental Description: Delia feels as though she were abandoned as a young girl. Although he mother did not disappear until much later in her life, even though she was around, she did not act like a mother. Delia is quite bitter towards her parents. Yet she used her anger to make something of herself. She started her own corporate raider business within Mance, and has built that company into a multi million dollar one. She is shrewd and ruthless when it comes to her business dealings. She is also quite abrupt and to the point when dealing with people in a personal basis. She says what she means, no trying to find an easy way to put things. She appears to be quite cold, some think she is unfeeling, but that is just her defense mechanism to keep herself from being hurt.

Character History: Delia was born the second daughter of Dimitria and Mickel DeVandur. When she was 2 years old, her mother had another baby, a little boy named John Snow. Shortly after her brothers birth, her father left, taking the boy with him. Her mother had changed quite a bit although Delia was too young to know this. It wasn’t until she was older, and she heard from others that her mother had not always been this…dark. She was moved from her home at DeVandur keep into a school for girls, where her mother taught these special girls how to use their powers. Delia was pretty much invisible to her mother, as she was too “busy” with the other young girls. She also didn’t get to know her older sister Rose, as she didn’t come with them to the school for girls.  Several years later, her mother just disappeared, and Delia moved off on her own. That is when she started dabbling in corporate raids and found she had a knack for the job. She started her own company, and her ruthlessness made it successful.

 She used her money and power to try and track down her parents. Her father, because she felt that he had left because of they way her mother had changed.. She did not blame him for leaving, only wished he had taken her with him as well. Her mother, because she hd unfinished business with the woman. She found where her father was, and kept track of him. Learned of her brothers death, and then her father disappeared.

 She had a run in with her mother and father. They had returned to the mainland to find her. She had learned that her mother had returned, with no memory whatsoever after the birth of her brother, and wanted to make amends with Delia. Her father seemed to have forgiven and forgotten all that has occurred in the past and had accepted her mother back into his life. He wanted her to do the same, but she was not sure she could forgive and forget so easily.

 Once on the island, she met Brian. She joined his family, the Drake family, and was embraced by him, and changed into a Wamphyri like him. She became the Matriarch of his family, and was living at Whispering Falls Manor and Estates with him.  Then he asked her to marry him, which made her happier then she had ever been. But right after the wedding, he disappeared. About 20 years later, she got a letter, and annulment papers, saying that their marriage had been a mistake. She was devastated.

 After some time, Matthew Elvenbane started to melt her heart once more. Matthew surprised her with a new home, on the beach. A large, three story home that she loves very much. Although she was hesitant at first, he asked her to marry him, and after some time together, she agreed. They were married, and lived happily together for quite some time. Brian returned to the island, and Delia was no longer angry. She learned that he has left her, not because he wanted to, but because he was forced to. (long story) She still had feelings for him, but loved her husband, and wasn’t going to hurt him the way she had been hurt. She pushed Brian away, even though her heart was torn between the two of them.

 Then she received devastating news. While on a business trip, Matthew had an accident and was killed, leaving her a widow. Not only was she grieving for his loss, but she was suffering pangs of guilt. Although she had done nothing with Brian, the fact that she still had feelings for him, and had been tempted, had made her feel horrible, especially now, with her husband gone. She kept to herself for quite a while, nurturing her grief.. then one day, she felt she was ready to move on once again, and try to be happy. Her and Brian reunited and he has recently proposed to her again. At first, she wasn’t ready, and kept the ring upon a chain around her neck, but after some time, she agreed to marry him.

Items:   Delia is a walking little arsenal. She has a dagger strapped to her right thigh. A dagger is hidden within her left boot. She wears a hand gun in a holster hidden beneath her jacket, and usually another one hidden on her back in a holster attached to her belt. She also has twin wrist dagger sheaths, with small daggers that will fly down into her hands at the flick of her wrists.  And at times she wears twin Katana’s strapped to her back, which she is quite proficient with

Weakness:Although she hides it, her major weakness is her need to feel as if she belongs. She has built up a powerful business, she has people following her wherever she goes, always trying to get her attention, and yet, she always feels like she is alone. She acts distant, but that is just her defense. She acts cold, but that is her way of keeping at bay the swell of emotions that threaten to be unleashed in a moment of weakness.
