Character Description:

As his true angelic self he is the embodiment of perfection as God had made them first as a reflection of his own magnificence. At 6 feet tall and a solid 250lbs of muscle in a warrior build, Samael indeed was crafted to play the part “Venom of God” and lay waste where the Lord made his judgments. His beauty is an unerring perfection with a cold, calculating look that makes one wish to be near him forever and yet dread every second of it. Eyes that are change between glacial blue like ancient ice frozen in time to the deepest, darkest blue of the night sky. His hair is the purest black and hangs about waist length behind him, soft as fresh spun silk. He considers this form too unsportsmanlike to sway others to his side and so far only one person has seen it and lived.

Since now considered a demon the hellish form he chose for himself is a 16 foot reptilian monstrous human hybrid. Dark mottles scales from graveyard grey to obsidian black wrap in writhing bands over a heavily muscled bipedal form. A set of enormous bat like leathery wings sprout from his back and a large thick tail swishes behind him. A row of spikes come from the center of a large triangular reptilian head housed with an extremely wide set of jaws sporting multiple rows of teeth like a sharks. His eyes are blood red and glow when agitated while a slit of a Black pupil is nestled in the center. The spikes continue along his back even extending down the top of his tail. His hands are clawed with formidable points capable of easily rending most matter on the material planes. Hell can’t be complete without such monsters and while not as exotic or disturbing as some in the Abyss, this form has proven itself again and again when words came to blows. What infernalists bargain for with their souls comes to those below naturally.

As for his appearance as a human that’s a little harder to explain since he changes his appearance on the slightest whim to whatever he feels like. Even imitating others and going as the opposite sex is a pleasant diversion from time to time and helps shake things up. Yet, however he looks one can usually tell it is him by how he acts. Something’s never change. One nasty little surprise is despite his appearances he retains his current abilities at their normal levels despite his form. When GD assumes the shape of a five year old child and through a punch at you, you’re still being hit by his full grown power.

History:

Samael had stood with his brothers in God’s good graces. In the Beginning, Lucifer came first, then came others; but out of all of them only Lucifer acknowledged Samael as his equal. Things were fine in dandy in the Fifth heaven with six other reagents and over two million angels to carry out the lord’s will till finally the war came and shook the very foundations of Paradise itself.

Samael sided with his brother Lucifer and a number of hosts were swayed by the Lightbringer’s passionate words rallying as many too him as he could. Even thought they would fight against their own kin, The Venom of God would slay all that opposed them for his fight was Lucifer’s fight and he took up banner for his very own. Enough has been said about the war of Hosts and the outcome is known. Samael’s tale continues shortly after his fall with his kin in the fresh hell made for them.

There locked in Hell the fallen ranted and gave voice to their outrage as Man and other creatures settled and spread across this new level of existence. Man of all the creator’s creatures was gifted with a soul, a piece of His divinity and able to have a choice to ascend to stand before the Lord’s Grace that elevated them even about angels. This did not sit well with the other angels and the ones in Heaven merely accepted this and mulled about like cattle, no thoughts of their own to bring fire to their ideas. It was An Outrage! While many believed the Lord God himself made the Universe and all of reality it was actually the tasks of his Angels to do his dirty work and wrought about the World as it was to be according to his specifications. When Jericho was to be destroyed and Sodom and Gomorrah brought low, an angel was there. When the first born of Egypt were to be killed and plagues unending heaped upon Pharaoh’s head in warning, an angel was there. In every instance where God lent aid or judgment, smite, and laid low all who opposed him and his people; even when he brought misery and pain upon his own followers you can bet An angel was there and the actual agent of that pain. Angels forged the world, but Man was God’s alleged best creation.

From the depths he fought and battled his brethren to gain standing and earn his rightful place to carve for himself a piece of that wretched city of excess Pandemonium to call his own and establish his territory. After things had settled into a general rank and file, his attentions turned upward to these overgrown monkeys the Creator had favored over them. Hateful eyes watched with covetous desire for their freedom and existence on that place as their animosity grew as well for having lacked the same freedoms humans had. Soon Hell hosted other nightmarish and twisted creatures.

Demons was the name given to them as such Samael thought if the creator wants him to be a monster, then he’d put every ounce of formidable power into being such a nightmare. The Shape was easy to assume since he was a being of spirit like the others and could appear as he chose to. The task was even easier to accomplish since one helped make reality into what it was thought of on the material plane, to craft a shell for their essence in any shape desirable was a simple effort. Soon it seemed all of hell went from the dark beauty of angels to the very things humans feared, the twisted and grotesque beings now associated with demons. Ah but where did they come up with the fantastical shapes? Their intense feelings of horror and dread sprung from primitive minds and the fallen chose to wear those shapes as their very own.

Now being an angel of wrath, Samael of course was very hateful of God’s pet human project. He took a perverse pleasure in subtly guiding those few on the edge right into a one way trip down into the abyss. He never made them do a thing but Suggest and it was with their very own Free Choice they chose to dance with the sinners instead of supping with the saints. Still the current influx didn’t satisfy him. One could only do so much through various other agents and Samael was definitely a hands on type of guy, so carefully he spread a name he could be summoned by into the sleeping minds of man. A very sensitive occultist with strong abilities curious of the infernal and hungry for power took him up on his offer. A lengthy two week ritual which required gore and vice in near anti heroic proportions gave him the gate, a way into the very world he wanted to step foot in all along, at the bidding of a foolish mage nonetheless, Samael was not despaired. He gladly suffered the human’s commands and ridiculous requests. The human Tiberius mage’s familiarity and constant interactions with Samael made him lazy, the power given to him made him sloppy. Samael was bound in that wretched pentagram for nearly200 years before the fool made his mistake. All it took was for him to carelessly brush his hand over the pentagram binding the fallen Host and at that instant the barrier was negated. Samael was now free in the physical world after eons!

Samael gave vent to his frustration to being pent up in the pentagram on the occultist’s body and creatively shared every horror he wished to inflict upon him for the past 200 years. Come the morning light and all that was found in the Estate was a wall knocked down, one half an earlobe and a fine mist of blood covering the entirety of the grounds. Samael had moved on and never wished to be bound or caged again.

He spent many years with the humans, learning their mannerisms, quirks and habits. Indeed, he became a bit of an expert on them when one day following a rather nasty Noble Rake who was maturing to evil quite nicely a creature appeared in the guise of a woman. Could this be one of my fallen brethren thought, Samael? He silently watched the two of them flirt in the shadows till she struck the Rake down and sucked his veins dry! Ah but what was this creature so like a human yet completely alien at the same time? Samael had seen his first vampire up close. And it was intriguing! No doubt this would be sterner stuff to prey upon! Surely so powerful a fiend would provide a challenge to a bitter fallen angel to play with and use as he seen fit? The potential for Chaos light a fire in his breast once more and would entertain him for years to come.

Like with humans at first, he spent time amongst them learning about them as best he could and gradually began to broaden his horizons to all form of creatures other then humans. He delighted on tricking and manipulating these self proclaimed powers of dread! At last he had something to focus his eternal existence on and amuse himself! So portraying a bumbling, hedonistic creature of a warped mind he lived with them experiencing their hungers, vices and passions for himself and what Appetites they had!

He’s laughed and been laughed at, carefully biding his time and taking everything in till things seem to come to a head around him. Then with a few words here, a subtle expression of emotion and a pack of lies that would always fit his needs first, he created unrest, panic, and glorious instability! Samael can and will do whatever he thinks needs to be done to continue his own agendas and while laughing, fraternizing and playing (as well as sex) have come to be associated with him, behind those mirthful eyes lies an alien, wrathful and twisted mind bent on seeing everything come to a living nightmare filled with hurt and despair for all those around him.

ABILITIES

Shapeshifting – This comes easy to Samael as he can basically become whatever he wishes from a tiny flea to a dragon. Yet, just because he looks like something doesn’t mean he inherits its abilities. He can look like a dryad all day, but tend trees and merging with them isn’t ever going to happen. However with some creative use of his other powers his imitations can appear that much more real.  (it is for the most part an illusion)

Dimensional Rift – In front of GD’s body a barely visible rippling effect tells the use of this purely defensive power. By calling on his formidable powers he can distort space and time in front of him to absorb any projectiles thrown at him and fling them back at their caster. Now being struck by a sword or limb will connect as normal but anything be it matter or energy thrown at him will enter the rift and warp right back to their caster.  (call into being before attacked, the out roll attacker. )

His sides and back are still vulnerable.

Teleport – By focusing his reality bending powers with his energies he can cause a tear in space to enter from one spot and emerge at another. This is a very useful ability as it not only gets him where he needs to go, but always impresses the mortals when you seem to melt into one shadow and emerge from another. He can take others with him, but the more mass he tries to take with him the more power this drains from him.

Elemental Fury – By focusing on an element and calling upon his powers, GD can make the very elements bend to his needs. Summoning a large boulder, throwing lightning, to flinging water with its surface tension ridiculously increased provides a means of offense for him. Oh course the grander the effect, the more power needed for it. However as much as reality is indeed malleable for manipulation, never can he combine two elemental opposite forces at the same time. They don’t get along for a reason and usually detonate with disastrous results to all around the caster and ESPECIALLY so to the caster himself. A little energy can be a pebble created or small breeze generated a huge investment of power can be a rockslide devouring a street or a twister ripping anything it touches to shred. Of course having the element all ready present lessens the cost of using this gift. It’s easier to use water as a shield or lance if some is around rather then create the damned thing from scratch.  (roll to call into being, higher the roll the more its power, then roll again to use it. most outroll target in its use.)

Vengeful Glare – Being an Angel of wrath means he has a certain affinity for the darker sides of emotions. By activating this power he can stare at his target and increase the rage and anger to the point of frenzy or literally rip the wrath right out of them. It is very handy for instigating a fight with a couple across the room to sucking the fight out of someone desiring to harm the quizzical angel.  (call into being with a roll of at least 60 percent of total dice, then must out roll target(s) by 15 percent. )

Longing Gaze – Of course some say Hate is just loved turn inside out. By activating his power and staring at his target he can make them into madly fall in love or taking that loving feeling and rip it out leaving an empty shell behind.  (need more discussion to be legal locked at this time)

A Touch of Death – La Petit Mort, what the French call an Orgasm. With mere contact against another being’s bare skin and spending power, GD can induce a raging orgasm to emerge from his target. The longer the contact the stronger the sensation. Be it man or woman, none is safe from the effects (unless successfully resisted of course) and that can range from earth moving quivers to nonstop multiple orgasms. However too much of a good thing can turn bad really fast. If contact is kept too long all those pleasure receptors start to overload and the pleasure will soon descend into nerve shattering pain. As with all things Moderation is advised.  (locked til discussion)

Painful Reminder – With a brush of skin and the appropriate power GD can cause an old wound to reappear. Depending on the power and how long GD remains in contact with his victim it could be something as insubstantial as a paper cut across the finger to a sucking chest wound or limbs rebreaking. A terrifying ability to cause the body to relive all the suffering inflicted on it.  (must out roll target to inflict for each 10 percent higher the wound is worse, or can continue to roll with each out roll wound deepens)

Meeting of the Minds – With a push of power and will, GD can establish a mental link with a target. The effects vary from merely holding a conversation telepathically to (depending on the power and resistance encountered) Rummaging through their mind for their nasty little secrets in sins. GD must have been introduced to the person for this connection to take place. (if agreed no roll needed, if not most out roll target to make contact, out roll by 10 percent to see small front thoughts, by 30 percent to see, pictures and knowledge that is recent, most out roll by 50 percent to see secrets not wanted involving self most out roll by 70 percent to see deep dark damaging secrets)

Above the Divine and Devilish forces he wields and despite his appearance Samael is and always will be an Angel, albeit a Fallen angel; but an angel nonetheless. This means he has supernatural strength, abnormal speed and unbelievable resilience. Thus he is of course confidant in his abilities and capable of surviving the life he has lived till now.  (to use most out roll target each time)
